  • How do you differ from other virtual assistant firms?

While there are numerous virtual assistant agencies to choose from, there are many factors that set us apart from the rest. In fact, one of the main things setting us apart is how we take the overwhelm out of selecting a virtual assistant. Business owners also appreciate the flexibility we offer, another unique feature in our industry.

We know that our mission, structure, and track record make us the right fit for many businesses.

Here are some of our unique attributes:

    • Our roster of military spouse virtual assistants are carefully selected, vetted, trained, and supported.  They are the best of the best.
    • By working with our Freedom Makers, you are supporting our mission to help military families. Because of this mission, we never charge our virtual assistants to join our community, nor do we charge them annual dues. Training, mentoring, and coaching are always complementary to our Freedom Makers.
    • Your business is unique, and we know there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to remote support.
    • You are not required to purchase a minimum number of hours.
    • You can add another Freedom Maker at any time for no additional fee, and there is no penalty or fee if you change your estimated hours or tasks.
    • Do you need a virtual assistant for 40 hours a week?  Great.  Do you only need help for 2 hours a month?  Great!  Do you need a ton of help this month but will need a lot less support next month? Totally fine.
    • We charge to the minute with no rounding up, and are proud of our one-of-a-kind time-tracking software, Ivy.  Ivy is clear, easy to use, and ensures transparency.
    • We refund any unused hours.
    • Our Freedom Maker virtual assistants choose which clients they want to support.  This means they are interested in being on YOUR remote team and supporting YOUR business!
    • We don’t assign you a virtual assistant.  You get to choose the best fit for you.
    • We have dedicated Success Managers who work diligently to support each client/Freedom Maker pairing to ensure productive, rewarding, and beneficial relationships.

We have been partnering businesses with professional, remote, hourly support since 2015 years, so our experience and understanding of the virtual workplace is vast and deep.  We know this world and are excited to help you navigate it.

  • Who are your Freedom Makers (Virtual Assistants)?

Our Freedom Makers are military spouses, family members, veterans or otherwise associated with the military. They have differing levels of education with the majority being college or post-college graduates. They have varying work experiences in a wide range of industries.

Due to their association with the military, Freedom Makers are based all over the country and the world. Our military spouses have a service mindset. They know how to be flexible and deliver top-notch service. They thrive in rolling up their sleeves, figuring out new environments, and making the best of what is available. They are proactive and communicative problem solvers who execute strong decision-making.

Our military spouse virtual assistants are practiced at remaining steady and consistent in an atmosphere of constant change. This attribute makes them well equipped to thrive in the dynamic and fluid work environments small businesses often experience.

We break it into two categories: Stay within the Lines (Work that needs to be managed more closely, has templates and an outlined workflow. Examples would be data entry, email management and scheduling.) and Take it and Run with It (A more independent virtual assistant who assists with workflows, operations and is more of a thought partner. Examples would be CRM management, executive administrative support, social media management.)

We do recommend learning about the benefit of using a virtual assistant over hiring an employee. Read more here

  • How do you assign Freedom Makers?

After we learn about your business, the platforms you use and what your needs are, we send out your opportunity to our pre-screened community. They then apply for your position internally. We review and match you with up to 4 qualified, available, and interested Freedom Makers for you to speak with. Our virtual assistants come from a myriad of backgrounds and have the freedom to choose which opportunities are a good fit for their experience and skill set. They are not assigned.

Based on those conversations, you choose which one is the best fit for you and your business.

  • How many hours do I get?

As many or as little as you want! We believe business owners should have the freedom to decide how much time you need with a Freedom Maker. You are not locked into a contract for a certain amount of time. If it is not working out, we ask that you contact your Success Manager to discuss further. We have a community of over 230 virtual assistants to meet your needs. If you choose to transition to another Freedom Maker, we make that transition seamless.

  • How does billing work?

Because we do not have a minimum hour requirement, we do ask our clients to prepay. Hours purchased never expire. You will have access to your current balance simply by logging into Ivy, our billing & time tracking portal.

You make payments through our client portal where you can see in real-time how many hours your virtual assistant is using and how they are using them. Transparency is another guiding principle for Freedom Makers, therefore, we make it easy for you to view your Freedom Maker’s timesheet to see what they are working on and how much time it is taking. You can make payments easily through the portal, including setting up subscriptions and auto-reloads.

  • Do you have Freedom Makers with specialized skills?

    Yes!

We understand that every business has unique needs that sometimes require specialized skills.  Our team includes Freedom Makers who are not only highly skilled but also have specialized training, experience, degrees, and certifications in areas like design, legal support, writing, and accounting. Rates vary per specialty, starting at $50 per hour.

  • Do you offer services outside the United States?

Though we’re based in San Antonio, Texas, we are a global company and have clients around the world.

  • How do I get started?

There are typically 4 steps to get started:

    • Contact us for a complimentary consultation
    • Outline what you want us to do for you (We recommend taking our Task Audit to help organize your thoughts.)
    • Choose your Freedom Maker after having a selection call with up to 4 Freedom Makers that we feel best meet the needs that were originally expressed to us in your consultation.
    • Attend your Kick-Off Call with your Freedom Maker and our Client Success Manager. The Kick-Off Call is a time to ensure expectations are understood. It is a 30-minute Zoom meeting.
    • Get started with your Freedom Maker! Once your assignment is underway, a Success Manager will check in periodically to ensure your needs are being met.
